Ironing and Laundry by Pressed for Time
The service that started it all! Laundry and ironing by Pressed for Time is still one of the most popular services we provide, serving families and individuals from Carterton, Brize Norton and surrounding villages.
Your laundry will be taken care of as if it was our own and tailor the service to your particular needs, whether you require sensitive care or dry cleaning, starched collars or soft pleats, we can do it all!
We aim to complete a single load of laundry and ironing within 24 hours, but more often than not, your laundry is ready for delivery the next morning*
We work on half baskets and full basket loads, costing dry cleaning items individually according the items of clothing. We prefer to air dry the clothes, weather dependent, but in adverse conditions we use tumble dryers. You may wish to provide your preferred dryer sheet product for this eventuality.
Due to the high volume of laundry we receive,
there is a minimum charge of half a basket. However, for gentlemens' shirts we do offer a special service of £1.50 per shirt, returned hung and separately wrapped in plastic protective covers.
“Very professional and lovely lady who does an amazing job. I will be returning. Thanks again”

Our laundry and ironing service takes the pressure off your work load, giving you back your evenings or weekends, leaving you free to spend more time doing the things you love (or making the packed lunches). And if you still need, or want more time to yourself, ask us about our regular house cleaning service.
Q: Do I need to give you my laundry detergent and fabric
A: If you have a particular preference, or indeed sensitive skin, you may wish to provide us with the correct dosage of laundry detergent and/or fabric softener, otherwise we will use our standard products, which are kind to skin and ecologically friendly.
Q: Do I need to pre-soak anything?
A: It is always advisable to pre-soak any stains with a stain remover or in cold water. This will aid the laundry process, but it is not otherwise necessary to pre-treat any items.
Q: Do I need to sort colours and materials?
A: We accept laundry in half and single loads. This can be a single load of mixed colours, which you can separate into two halves if you wish.
Q: Do you supply clothes hangers?
A: No. We have a limited stock of clothes hangers if your load is short of what is necessary, but we do ask that you provide your own for each item as required.
Q: What if I’m not home when you deliver?
A: You can either re-arrange a suitable time for delivery or collection, or leave instructions for us to deliver it to a safe, clean and dry place – a neighbour for example.
*If we receive your laundry after 7pm, delivery will take place after 12 midday the following day.
